If you're anything like me, your living room is designed to accommodate an obscene amount of lounging time. And this, of course, is only made possible by a sofa worth napping on. But if your seating situation needs some work, then take a peek at our picks from the Sofa Workshop. Your living room deserves the extra attention.

The Charlie Tight Covered Sofa looks oh-so-inviting while still offering a serious dose of style as well. It's made with a polyester and soft viscose blend, but beware of wine spills or sticky fingers; this fabric is dry-clean only.

Perfect for a reading nook or movie room, the Elsie Chair could make any design pop while still lending some seating room.

Call me biased, but the Skylark chair is officially my favorite. The design seems to be vintage, but the fabric is definitely current. I'll take one now, please.

Is it just me or does the Steady Eddie sofa look like the prime spot for an afternoon snooze? If only it were a little bit bigger…

More modern and less cushioned, the Petite Marguerite is perhaps meant for design buffs more so than comfort seekers. And if green isn't your color, there are 2,200 fabric and leathers to choose from. Talk about choices.

Perhaps the Steinbeck chair is a nod to the famous author? Even if it's not, the design is certainly a nod to modern style. And if that's your cup of tea, the color can be tweaked to your liking.

Here’s a round-up of some very interesting products from Gessato – can you see them in your home?

#1 – Shoelace Rug

Whenever my mother is trying on a top or dress that she's unsure about, she says, "Well, maybe with the right pair of shoes…." It's like that for me with this rug, made out of actual shoelaces. Designed by Nate Silverstein and Andrea Paustenbaugh, it will certainly make a statement. I'd consider it for a teenager's room. Even a messy one, since you can just throw this rug in the washing machine with everything they'll pile on top of it.

#2 – Liquid Lamp

I think this is pretty cool! The completely smooth steel shade looks like an overturned bucket of red paint. The tabletop version would be good on any creative person's desk, or use the wall-mounted one in a play room, music room, or anywhere fun is a requirement. And it comes in different colors.

#3 – Sticky Lamp

OK, these are just great. I would definitely buy a few of these. At $47 each, the PVC, cleverly made from packaging, the lamps stick wherever you put them. I like their squiggly, floating balloon effect. Only for use with energy saver or LED lamps. Photo from designer Chris Kabel's website.

#4 – Touring Clock

Another steal at $44, I know a few motorheads who'd love this little guy racing around the clock's face. The piece is 9.1" and is constructed of wood and metal with a nice abstract design and pleasing color scheme. Check it out here.

#5 – Tam Tam Stools

Finally, there's the Tam Tam Stool. The $69 seat is 17.8″ h x 11.8″ and is a vibrant indigo color.

Лаура зашило все appliqués себя на низкопробные ткани и наняло белошвейку для того чтобы завершить все части.

Manmade "marble" is versatile, strong and custom-fabricated to meet a customer's specific requirement for color and functional shape. Oh, and it costs less than stone.

Consider your bathroom. Is it as inviting to you today as it was when new? Do you still enjoy retreating there to read a good book, or does the discolored grout around the tiles of your shower spoil the moment? Does the rust-stained sink make you want to wash your hands of the whole experience?

Think cultured marble. It is an affordable upgrade from the dismal state many bathrooms sink into after just a few years of constant use.

Fabricating marble, as opposed to cutting it out of the ground in a rock quarry, dates to at least the 1960s. It also is commonly called engineered marble or, less euphemistically, fake marble. The latter is really a misnomer because a main component of cultured marble is the dust of real marble stone that's mixed with resin and other ingredients and molded into a desired product.

Cultured marble is "fake" compared to marble only in the sense a Chevy is a fake Cadillac. Both are functional and attractive, but one is more affordable than the other. If your budget for upgrading a bathroom is not limitless, you should consider cultured marble.

The process of creating cultured marble products is simple. A batch of marble mix is stirred together according to a customer's requirements. The shape, contour and color of a product – a bathtub, basin, shower, cabinet top, any working surface needing to repel water – is individually customized.

The selected mix is poured onto a mold of the desired configuration. The mold has been coated with a gel that will render the marble surface essentially impervious to stains. Different types of marblelized looks can be created by a skilled craftsman.

The finished product has the essential appearance and sheen of polished marble, but in fact is several times stronger because it is not as brittle in its composition. Furthermore, less grout will be needed in fixing the piece in place. For example, the union of a basin and surrounding countertop requires no grout at a joining point because the basin and top are a continuously-poured unit.

Hence, less grout, fewer collection places for dirt or mildew. The result is a cleaner, more functional appearance and a luster that might be the only remaining distraction to your reading.
