In recent years, we’ve seen some of the worst conditions for homeowning in living memory, including the conditions that were suffered during the Great Depression. There are many reasons for this as discussed extensively in the press, and on blogs like this one, concerned with how foreclosures on homes in America both impact and reflect the state of domestic and global economies.

But, which US states have been hit the hardest by foreclosures? Which have been hit the least? What services and safety nets are in place to help those homeowners who are in danger of defaulting? And what does this mean for the average person buying a home today?

What kinds of things drives a worrying trend like this, outside of the vagaries of global economics?

Sometimes, defaulting on a mortgage is due to budgetary miscalculations, or even inflated senses of what people think they’re able to pay for over the long term. Sometimes, it’s just down to first-time home buyers who are unfamiliar with the ins-and-outs of what it means, and what it costs, to invest in property. Often, this is exacerbated by a lack of guidance, or even no guidance at all, by the banks who negotiate their mortgages.

These core elements are often in place when mortgages are negotiated because those entering into the agreement do not fully understand the implications or conditions of their mortgage. Further to this, when payments are missed due to health crises, job losses, or other financial curve balls, many do not know what their options are outside of defaulting on their mortgages. They are unfamiliar with the services that lenders have available to help them. Maybe they are frightened or embarrassed to the point where they cut off communications with lenders when contact and discussion are needed most.

As such, here is a short list of resources for homeowners who may be looking for options outside of a forced sale of their home due to unemployment, health concerns, or other reasons beyond their control:

The Minai Experience is the work of six young designers from (La Mamba Studio) all with different nationalities who currently live in Valencia. They are the artists behind a new modern outdoor furniture company which was launched during Valencia Design Week 2010 at The Habitat Fair.

Relax in style

This new brand developed by Rafael Zaragoza and his studio is a brave attempt to steer away from the common clichés of "Chill Out" outdoor furniture, by creating more versatile furniture that can be used for both indoors and outdoors , with a huge emphasis on comfort.

La Mamba are an excellent example of the future joint-venture designer industry. Creating a powerful consolidation of minds and complimentary working processes to achieve their goals.

Setting the scene for company

In the beginning the idea was based around the textile experience of the designers, who then integrated with outdoor furniture manufacturers. They focused on tradition and using their experience as they designed the product and using simple support elements based them on maximising the use of the cushion.

Relax in minimalist state of mind

The products are created by incorporating metal structures, that are developed for the use of cushions manufactured with textile materials suitable for outdoor use.

A whole new attitude to relaxing

Minai experience is a new concept that provides design based on experience, comfort, feelings and function. What these guys did was study scenes to redefine what the customer wants and needs. They have put a whole new attitude into relaxing.

Мы недавно открыли что мало вещей больше потехи что получающ целево сбросить пук жидкостей на неподозревающем образце ковра. Юоме Депот послало нами несколько swatches ковра, каждое из похваляется технология пятн-бой, вместе с обыкновенно разливаемыми жидкостями. Платина плюс ковер покрына с «революционной технологией Scotchguard которая создает незримый экран против жидкости, грязи и почвы--улучшите для комнат семьи высок-движения.» После того как расслоина, вы должна мочь выдержать вверх сверхнормальную влагу и после этого очистить остальнои пятна путем blotting с влажным полотенцем. Наш опыт?
